Global graphic design star David Carson and Olympics gold medallist Keegan Palmer to visit Sharjah this month as part of Sk8topia 2 event at Aljada

One of the world’s most famous and established graphic designers, David Carson, will be visiting Sharjah in November as part of a special series of events designed around the world of skateboarding culture.
David will be visiting Sharjah’s largest lifestyle community, Aljada, alongside Keegan Palmer, the park skateboarding gold medallist from the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
In 2022, Arada, the master developer behind Aljada, commissioned David to design the graphics at the Aljada Skate Park, the largest facility of its type in the Middle East, which will host the World Skateboarding Tour Street and Park events in January 2024.
During his visit to Aljada between Friday 24 November and Sunday 26 November, David will take part in a group of special events, called Sk8topia 2, which will include master classes, meet ups and an exhibition of his best works.
Highlights from Sk8topia 2 include a skate competition in Aljada Skate Park from 4-6pm on Saturday 25 November. This will be followed at 7pm by Panel in the Park, a moderated talk on skateboarding culture featuring both David and Keegan, which will take place in the park’s professional bowl.
All members of the public are welcome to attend and all events are free of charge.
